Y5 Homework

on September 13, 2017

Here is this week’s homework.  Please practise your spellings by copying them out.  It’s better to practise them for 5 minutes every day than for a longer time on one day.

spacious

vicious

gracious

malicious

precious

conscious

delicious

suspicious

atrocious

ferocious

Our mental maths this week has focussed on the 8 times table.  We have started to introduce more vocabulary to help you with this.  Can you use the word ‘product’ and ‘factor’ within your answers?

e.g. 4 x 8 = 32.  The product of 4 and 8 is 32.  Two factors of 32 are 4 and 8.

Try to answer your multiplication questions within 5 seconds!

We will test spellings next Wednesday and use the mental maths in our class assessments over the whole week.

      Great question!
This is what I found on the NASA website:
Its temperature varies between room temperature and 1200 degrees Celsius.
Each of the two Solid Rocket Boosters on the Space Shuttle carries more than one million pounds of solid propellant. The Space Shuttle’s large External Tank is loaded with more than 500,000 gallons of super-cold liquid oxygen and liquid hydrogen, which are mixed and burned together to form the fuel for the orbiter’s three main rocket engines.

    • Mrs Saville says:

We look at internet safety every term (and obviously we discuss it when we’re on the internet) so not this week. Your number statement is correct!
